Kaycee Roberts marries Jacob Thompson
ADA — An outdoor ceremony Saturday evening May 30, 2009, at Fossil Creek Ranch united in marriage Kaycee Roberts and Jacob Thompson.
The bride is the daughter of Tommy Roberts, Fitzhugh, and Janice Roberts, Ada.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Thompson, Stonewall.
The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Steve Wilburn and accompanied by Gene Reeves.
The bride arrived in a chariot pulled by two blonde Belgium mares. Presented at the altar by her mother and father, the bride wore a white satin gown with cinched bust, beaded lace bodice, pick-up skirt, and peek-a-boo lace hem with a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Mrs. Jackie Roberts, aunt of the bride, Fitzhugh, was matron of honor. Breca Tracy, Austin, Texas, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Crystal Carter, Ada, Autumn Heaps, Duncan, and Alexis Davis, San Antonio, Texas. Devon Schroeder, cousin of the bride, Oklahoma City, served as junior bride.
Carys Hudson, Ardmore, and Ashtyn Schroeder, Oklahoma City, served as flower girls.
Max Roberts, cousin of the bride Fitzhugh, served as junior bridegroom. Jody Roberts, Fitzhugh, and Colton Hunt, nephew of the bridegroom, Roff, served as ring bearers. Chance Drawbaugh, Ada, was best man.
Groomsmen were Cody Roberts, brother of the bride, Austin, Texas, Jeff Willis, Ryne Lynch and Bodie Marion, all of Ada.
Music and vocalists Richard Hudson, uncle of the bride, Ardmore, sang "When You Say Nothing at All." Wedding March played on the trumpet by Sean Hudson, cousin of the bride, Ardmore. Wedding coordinator was Jay Roberts, uncle of the bride, Tulsa. Photographer was Laura Steele, Stonewall.
A reception was held at Fossil Creek Ranch, catered by Mrs. B's, Ada. Julie Darras and Linda Priest, both of Ada, served at the bride and bridegroom's table. After the reception, the couple departed in a chariot pulled by two blonde Belgium mares driven by Bill McGehee.
A couple's wedding shower was hosted by Julie Darras at Mrs. B's in Ada.
Members of Fitzhugh Baptist Church hosted a wedding shower May 3, 2009.
After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii the couple is at home in Latta.
