ECU students awarded funding by NASA
Sixteen ECU students have been awarded funding under the NASA National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Isom named Brad Henry International Scholar
Christina Isom of Lehigh, a senior at East Central University in Ada, is one of six students from Oklahoma’s regional universities who have been named Brad Henry International Scholars and will spend the fall semester at Swansea University in Wales.

Purdy wins music competition
Alex Purdy, a senior at Yukon High School, was selected as the first-place winner of the International Tuba and Euphonium Competition in Tucson, Ariz. Purdy competed in the Young Artist division for students under the age of 10.

Forty Pontotoc County teachers completed a 10-day summer institute focused on improving content knowledge in environmental science at East Central University July 12-23.
