CHERYL SUBLETT
HOUSTON, Texas — Services for Cheryl Ann Daggs Sublett, 44, Houston, Texas, are at noon Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ray Talbott will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Ms. Sublett died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Houston, Texas. She was born Nov. 28, 1964, at Irving, Texas, to Warren and Mary Louise Parker Daggs.
She attended Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas, and was a customer service manager and account executive. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Austin Sublett and Justin Rae Sublett, both of Houston, Texas; her father, Warren Daggs; her mother, Mary Daggs; one brother, Preston Daggs; one sister, Robin Powell; one niece, Montanna Wilson; one nephew, Dakota Wilson; three aunts, Linda Alkire, Charlene Johnson and Joann Gallup; one uncle, John D. Daggs; and numerous cousins.
Bearers will be Dakota Wilson, Shannon Todd, Chance Gallup, Tanner Gallup, Scott Campbell and Chet Wilson. Honorary bearer is John D. Daggs.

KATHY HARMON
FLINT, Texas — Services for Kathy Gurley Harmon, 57, Flint, Texas, formerly of Ada, Okla., are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Delbert Akin will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Criswell Funeral Home Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m.
Mrs. Harmon died Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Tyler, Texas. She was born Aug. 12, 1951, at Roff, Okla., to B.F. Gurley Jr. and Barbara Ellen Kimmel Gurley.
She attended Glenwood Elementary, Ada Junior High, and graduated from Ada High School.
She married Edson E. Harmon, U.S. Army, Nov. 13, 1969, at Ada, officiated by the Rev. Delbert Akin. They lived across the Unites States and abroad during their military life. While living in Ada, Mrs. Harmon was employed for several years at Oklahoma State Bank. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, 1st Sgt. Edson E. Harmon, U.S. Army retired, of the home; one daughter, Kathy “DeeAnn” Blevins and husband Kent, Ada; two grandchildren, Steven Harmon Vekony, Ada, and Reagan DeLaney Blevins, Ada; and three sisters, Judy Short and husband Kenny, Ada, Lani Vasconcellos and husband Art, Ada, and Robin McConnell and husband Tifford, Holdenville.
She was preceded in death by her father, B.F. Gurley Jr. and her mother, Barbara Ellen Gurley.
Bearers will be brothers-in-law, Kenny Short and Tifford McConnell, and nephews, Chad Short, Andy McConnell, Josh Huckeby, and Drew Short.

WHIT WHITWELL
ADA — Services for Melvin L. “Whit” Whitwell, 87, Ada, are 2:30 Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Dale Dunagan and Joe Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Whitwell died Friday, May 29, 2009, at a local hospital. He was born July 11, 1921, at Carson, Okla., to Tom and Susan Devore Whitwell.
He attended McLish school and was retired from Howard’s Sheet Metal. He served in the U.S. Navy and National Guard.
He married Leota Webb June 10, 1948, at Ada. She died July 23, 1994 at Ada. He later married Margaret Etter Oct. 20, 1995, at Byng.
He was an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, of the home; three stepsons, Standle Anderson and wife Christine, Charles Anderson and wife Patty, all of Ada, and John Anderson, Lawton; two stepdaughters, JoAnn Page and husband Ed, Houston, and Patricia Hart and husband Charles, Roff; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Bearers are Dave Jackson, Robert Vick, Wes Eidson and Charlie Price.
