HAROLD WALKUP
ADA — Graveside service for Harold Walkup, 80, Ada, will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009 at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall. Officiating will be the Rev. Wilma Ledbetter. Chickasaw Honor Guard is to perform military honors.
Mr. Walkup died Friday, May 15, 2009, at an Ardmore hospital.He was born Aug. 15, 1928, in Clarita to Leo Walkup and Ethleen Guynes Walkup.
He married Wanda LaFevers in Ada.
Mr. Walkup graduated from Clarita High School in Clarita. He was a first sergeant in the United States Army, retiring after 30 years of service. He had numerous military awards and merits. He had been a resident of Ada for about 30 years. He had lived in Denver, Colo., and Georgia and had traveled to numerous countries while in the Army. He was a volunteer for the Arbuckle Lake law enforcement division a member of the Chickasaw Honor Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Walkup, of the home: two sons, David Walkup, Edmond, and Dante Walkup, Dallas, Texas; one stepson, Mike Palmer, Ada; three daughters, Haroldy Woods, Dallas, Texas, Malinda Wood, Tulsa, and Mariam Walkup, Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Danny Walkup, Shawnee, and Jerry Tom and Paul Walkup both of Ada; five sisters, Katie Anderson, Stonewall, Shirley Noe and Billy Verticchio and Betty Nowlin, all of Ada; and Carolyn Knight, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ethleen Walkup; two brothers, Richard and J.E. Walkup; one sister, Marquita JoAnn Humes; and an infant sister.
Bearers are Ed Humes, Don Anderson, Danny Walkup, Jerry Tom Walkup, Steve Walkup and Gary Walkup.

ADA — Graveside service for Mark Perryman, 35, Ada, will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at Oakman Cemetery in Ada. Officiating will be the Rev. Norman Stanfield.
Mr. Perryman died Friday, May 15, 2009 in Ada. He was born March 21, 1974, in Memphis, Tenn., to Elroy Eugene Perryman and Shirley Williams Perryman.
Mr. Perryman moved to Ada from Southaven, Miss., in 2007. He had worked as a floorhand in the oilfield industry for several years.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Whitehead, Ada; his fiance`, Mary Beth Hart, Ada; one brother, Michael David Matlock, Nesbit, Miss.; one sister, Chastity Perryman, Ada; four nephews, Memphis Wood, Ada, Garrett, Seth and Daniel Matlock, all of Nesbit, Miss.; and three nieces, Cheyanne Perryman, Ada, Amber and Amelia Matlock, both of Nesbit, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elroy Eugene Perryman; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

BERTHA HOPPE
KONAWA — Graveside services for Bertha Marcella Hoppe, 55, Konawa are 2 p.m. Monday at Rosedale Cemetery, the Rev. Marvin Dunn will officiate.
Ms. Hoppe died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at her home. She was born Feb. 15, 1954, at Kansas City, Mo., to Robert and Margret Davenport Lee.
She graduated from East Central University and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
She was employed as a registered nurse at Carl Albert Indian Hospital and the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City for a number of years. She served in the U.S. Army
Survivors include three sons, Samuel Anders, McAlester, Kyle Hoppe, Oklahoma City, and Calan Hoppe, Texas; two daughters, Samantha Anders, Konawa, and Kacie Hoppe, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Robert Lee, Oklahoma City, and Jimbo Lee, Lawton; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Freda Lyle.
Bearers will be Floyd Brown, David S. Green Sr., David S. Green Jr., Jeff Waters, Byron Bible, Billy Kirkwood and Mike Marquind.

MOORE — Memorial services for Star Ethel Juntunen Clarke, 52, were 1 p.m. Saturday at John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, Moore.
She died May 13, 2009. She was born April 24, 1957, to George and Gertrude Clarke in Detroit, Mich.
Ms. Clarke was a volunteer with the Humane Society in Michigan. She had a law degree and worked as a legal secretary with Lewis and Monday law firm in Detroit. She was employed by Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Clarke; godmother, Ethel Holcomb; brothers-in-law, Ronald Clarke and wife Myrtie, Donald Clarke and wife Tonya, Timithy Clarke and wife Angie, Shawn Clarke and wife Jennifer; a sister-in-law, Deborah Clarke Isom; two nieces; six nephews; one great-nephw; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
