NELLIE FENNELL

ADA — Services for Nellie Bee Fennell, 87, Ada are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Fitzhugh Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff. The family will receive friends at 1131 Jack John Circle (Apt. A) in Ada all day and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fennell died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1922 at Lindsay to Larey Jake and Mittie Doretta Slawson Hinley. She lived in the Fitzhugh area most of her life.

She married Marshall Thomas Fennell on Sept. 16, 1943. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2008 in Ada. Mrs. Fennell was a homemaker, a member of the Fitzhugh Baptist Church and a member of the church choir.

Survivors include two sons, Allen Wayne Fennell, Ada, and Marshall Fennell, Chickasha; two daughters, Linda Grant and husband Gary, Ada, and Rita Thompson and husband Rex, Duncan; six grandchildren, Michael Shanon Wallace, Erik Roger Grant and wife Tyrra, Abby Lynn Grant, Amber Lea Grant, Zachary Thomas Fennell and wife Monica, and April Dawn Hague and husband Branch; ten great granchildren; and two special friends, Brenda Fennell, Duncan and Sherry Sutton, Ada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.

Bearers will be Michael Wallace, Erik Grant, Zachary Fennell, Branch Hague, Clayton Fennell and Tyler Fennell.

SYBLE MOORE

ADA — Services for Syble Chesney Sweetin Moore, 89, Ada, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Moore died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at her home. She was born Feb. 27, 1920 at Kiowa to Marvin Shelly and Havana Cuba Patton Sweetin. She and her family moved here in 1935 from Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Ada High School in 1938 and received a Bachelor’s degree from East Central University in 1955. She also received a Master’s degree from East Central University.

Mrs. Moore taught school in the Ada area until 1963 and also taught in California from 1963 until 1978. She was a member of Central Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Dee F. Moore and wife Deanna, Ada; two grandsons, Deek Moore, Austin, Texas and Davis Moore, Dallas, Texas; a sister, Fern Downey and husband Jack, Perkins; and two brothers, Duerd Sweetin and wife Faye, Blanco, and Millard Sweetin and wife Pat, T I Valley, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gerald Fred Sweetin and a sister, Mary Day.

Bearers will be Jerald Ford, Benny Cope, Dee Kelly, Dell Howry, Deek Moore, and Davis Moore. Honorary bearers will be Carol Wainscott and Linda Downard.

WYNNEWOOD — Services for Bobby Charles Evans, 67, Wynnewood, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25 at DeArman Funeral Chapel. Mr. Evans died Jan. 22.

MILL CREEK — Services for Loyd M. “Sinko” Cornelius, 81, Mill Creek, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 at First Baptist Church in Mill Creek. Mr. Cornelius died Sunday, Jan. 24 at Ardmore.
