The visiting Bulldogs trailed 42-32 early in the third quarter before dominating down the stretch. They scored 52 of the game’s final 77 points, with Qualls and Knight — who scored 17 of his 24 points in the second half and added 14 rebounds after sitting the entire second quarter with two fouls — doing most of the damage. Qualls had a solid all-around game with seven rebounds and seven assists, and the other member of Stratford’s Big Three — junior guard Tommy Lawson — had 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Clay Rindal and Chase Chamberlain had just one field goal between them, but they combined for 11 assists (six by Chamberlain). Tyler Hampton came off the bench to hit five 3-pointers and score 26 points for Blanchard, which lost for just the third time this season.

COACHES QUOTE: “It was a real satisfying win. We really passed the ball around well. We played the best game we’ve played all year.” — Stratford coach Mark Qualls.
