ACT II presents 'M' is for the Million'
ADA — Just in time for a fun-filled valentine date, Ada Community Theatre (ACT II) is presenting “M Is for the Million,” a romantic comedy written by Jack Sharkey and directed by Vickie Reifsnider.
The adventure begins on a Greek cruise liner, when Brad Talbot, a toy maker played by Joseph Terrell, and his fiancé, Meg Meredith (Ruth Richardson) a.k.a. Edith Baxter the love expert, have their wedding plans altered by Meg’s conniving mother, Lenore Adrian (Kayla McCullough), a company spy (B.J. Echard) and a lovesick fool (Tia Long). Adding to the chaos Dimitrios, a Greek lover played by James Wallace, finds himself proposing to more than one woman including an Argentine maid (Barbara Tiry) as Dr. Twiller (Dave Reifsnider) prepares for an ecumenical movement. Running this tight ship is an inexperienced captain, Hamilton Cabot III (Joe Trail) and his cabin girls played by Jacie Sellers and Laura Ketcher. Making her ACT II debute, not only is Chris Sellers co-directing but she plays Mrs. Nelkioros, an extremely grateful lady.
The event takes place at Dorothy Summers Theatre on the ECU campus Feb. 11-13 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 14 for a Sunday 2 matinee.
Ticket prices are children 5 and under $4, students and senior citizens $6, and adults $8. For information about becoming a seasonal patron contact Rudy Lupinski (580-272-7234).
