PAULS VALLEY — Six people were injured in a one-vehicle wreck near Pauls Valley Sunday.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Heath Green said the wreck occurred on Interstate 35 just south of Pauls Valley just after 7 p.m.
Mary Stokes, 27, Healdton, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier south when, for unknown reasons, ran off the road to the left and struck an embankment.
The vehicle rolled one time and landed on it’s wheels. Stokes and five passengers were thrown during the rollover. Stokes was taken to Pauls Valley General Hospital (PVGH) where she was treated and released.
Ruby Nelson, 26, and Jashay Pickens, 23, both of Ardmore, were taken to PVGH then taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted with head and neck injuries.
Sara Jefferson, 27, Ardmore, Timothy Jefferson, 31, and 7-month-old Angel Alexander, all of Ardmore, were taken to PVGH and treated and released.
Green said seat belts were not in use and based on his investigative opinion, said Stokes was driving under the influence of illegal drugs.
