Volunteers needed
The local AARP Tax-Aide prepared and electronically filed over 800 tax returns during the last tax reporting season. They do relatively simple returns for people of all ages as a free service to people of the community.
They are looking for a few more people to help in the preparation of the returns. They provide the training in January and begin preparing the returns in February. Volunteers need only to have basic computer and math skills and will be taught about the taxes start out doing simple returns.
The local AARP is looking for individuals willing to help the community via this service, please phone Bette Cole at 332-3882, Bob Ardiana at 436-2202 or Jim Barlow at 332-7218.
