ADA — Two people were injured in a downtown crash Tuesday evening.
Ada firefighters alerted central dispatch of the wreck when it happened in front of the fire department at the intersection of 12th and Broadway.
Ada police said a woman in a red Oldsmobile was driving west on 12th Street when she ran a red light and crashed into a Chevrolet SUV driving north on Broadway.
The woman complained of head a neck pain and a passenger in the SUV also had various non-life threatening injuries. Both were placed on backboards and placed in an ambulance.
They were taken to the hospital by Valley View EMS and treated. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Police said the woman will be cited for failure to yield at a traffic signal. Identities of those involved was unavailable at press time.
