Ducks Unlimited hosts annual dinner banquet in Ada
ADA — The Ada committee of Ducks Unlimited will hold its annual dinner banquet at the Ada Elks Lodge on Nov. 19, doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner served at 7 .
The event, which includes dinner, live auction, silent auction, raffles and games is open to the public. Tickets are $25 for a single, $40 for a couple, and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by phoning Jake Thompson at (580) 320-4803. Ticket price includes dinner and a membership to Ducks Unlimited.
Each year, the United States loses some 100,000 acres of wetland habitat. Since its inception, Ducks Unlimited has raised more than $2 billion and enhanced and restored more than 11 million habitat acres, encompassing more than 18,600 wetland projects in the U.S., in an effort to reverse this destructive trend.
