Matt Holder appointed to People’s Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees
People’s Electric Cooperative (PEC), a member-owned electric distribution cooperative, recently announced the appointment of Matt Holder to its Board of Trustees.
“The addition of Mr. Holder to PEC’s Board ensures our company will continue to benefit from a diversity of knowledge and background. Matt is well qualified because of his strong leadership skills and long-time ties to PEC’s service area, particularly in Murray and Garvin Counties,” said Randy Ethridge, executive vice president and CEO, People’s Electric Cooperative.
Holder is the superintendent at Springer Schools. He also was the principal at Sulphur Intermediate School, assistant principal at Elmore City, and a teacher and coach at Purcell High School.
A native of Pauls Valley, Holder earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from East Central University in Ada.
“Matt not only brings new ideas and enthusiasm to our Board, he also adds an element of leadership and perspective that will be very valuable. He represents a new generation of PEC consumers who has chosen to live and work and make a real difference in rural Oklahoma,” said Laurin Patton, chairman of the Board.
Holder and his wife, Kena, the school counselor at Sulphur’s Intermediate School, live southeast of Sulphur with their children, Hannah, 6, and Huston, 4.
