Ada Boys and Girls Club to send care packages
Ada — The Ada Boys and Girls Club will be participating in Make a Difference Day on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Make a Difference Day is a nation-wide effort to promote giving to others.
“We want to make an impact on other people’s lives by doing something nice, in order to change their lives in a positive way,” Event Coordinator Donna Cox said.
From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ada Boys and Girls Club on Oct. 24, the Ada Boys and Girls club will be coordinating with Willard 5th and 6th grade center, Ada High Leadership Class and the Chickasaw Youth and Services Division to send care packages to the United States military.
“These care packages will make our soldiers’ lives a bit easier, will show them that we are thinking of them back in the USA and how much we appreciate them keeping us safe,” Cox said.
To learn more, donate items or sponsor a care package, contact the Ada Boys and Girls Club at (580) 332-3717 or visit the club at 915 South Hickory.
