Lehigh woman injured Saturday in wreck

Ada — A single-vehicle accident Saturday morning in Coal County left one woman pinned inside her vehicle approximately 45 minutes before being freed.

According to a report compiled by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Heath Davidson, Driver Evelyn Bush, 46, Lehigh, was traveling west on State Highway 43 two miles east of Coalgate when she came upon a deer in the roadway. Bush attempted to miss the deer and lost control of her vehicle, a 1998 Ford. She veered off the road to the left and traveled approximately 160 feet before striking a tree.

After being freed by members of Coalgate Fire Department, Bush was transported via air ambulance to OU Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she was admitted with internal trunk and leg injuries.
