Two arrested, pit bull killed during drug raid Thursday
Ada — Ada police arrested Melissa McCain, 26, Ada, during a drug raid at a residence in the 900 block of Orchard Street Thursday, according to Captain Jeff Crosby.
“The narcotics unit and critical incident response team were refused entry to the house at which time CIRT team members forced the door open and were attacked by a large pit bull dog,” Crosby said. “The dog was shot and killed by CIRT team members.”
Crosby said during a search of the residence, police found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a shotgun and rifle, a police scanner and cash. McCain was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and use of a police scanner during the commission of a felony.
Crosby said another resident, Justin Charles Jackson, 26, Ada, was not home during the raid, but was later arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and use of a police scanner during the commission of a felony.
Crosby said anyone with information on any crime including drug dealing is asked to phone CrimeStoppers at 33CATCH OR 332-2824 and remain anonymous.
