Leadership Oklahoma Hosts Immigration Forum
ADA — Leadership Oklahoma is hosting a public forum in Ada on June 5 titled “Immigration…Where Do We Go From Here?” The event begins at 4:30 p.m. at Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc., One Pre-Paid Way in Ada.
The program will cover an overview on House Bill 1804, the effects on the local community and what other actions are being taken at the state level.
Panelists include State Rep. Todd Thomsen of District 25, Steve Cortés an attorney with Riggs Abney Neal Turpen Orbison & Lewis and Xavier Neira, President, Latino Community Development Agency. The panel will be moderated by State Sen. Susan Paddack of District 13. Paddack and Cortés are also graduates of Leadership Oklahoma.
