Braum's store slated to open April 24
Ada — Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Stores will open its new store located at 301 South Mississippi on Thursday, April 24, unveiling the company’s new prototype in Ada.
The new store will replace the older Braum’s store located at 601 North Mississippi. The older store will close its doors at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 and the new store will open the next morning at 6 am.
The 5,756 square foot store has an entirely new look and feel with open beamed ceilings, stained concrete floors, and a stacked stone exterior.
“We have been waiting a long time to build this type of store and have worked many years to get the design just right,” said Drew Braum, president.
“Our new Ada store is the fifth of about 59 stores that we plan to build with this state-of-the-art design. Our plans are to replace our older, non-drive through stores throughout our five state area,” he said.
The new store seats 86 guests, and has brightly colored booths and tables with track lighting and pendant lights.
The new store has the traditional fountain area for ice cream, and grill area for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The “Fresh Market” grocery area is much larger with wider aisles, double checkout counters, and automatic doors to make customer shopping easier and more convenient.
This year Braum’s celebrates it’s 40th year of business. Bill and Mary Braum opened their first Braum’s store in Oklahoma City in 1968 and the company continues to be family owned and operated. Today there are 276 Braum’s stores located throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri, and Arkansas.
