Graduating from head start program
ADA—Forty-three graduating students were recognized at the Chickasaw Nation Head Start Graduation Tuesday, May 19, at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center Gym in Ada.
“This is the first step in building a good foundation based on education,” said Danny Wells, Chickasaw Nation Head Start director.
“As teachers, parents and volunteers, we have the responsibility to place importance on continued growth and learning.”
The Chickasaw Head Start program is a family-oriented program that is parent driven and focused on preparing the students for transitioning into kindergarten.
The students receive a comprehensive education curriculum, health care, and socialization skills.
