Staff Writer
Old Bank Gallery is presenting an exhibition of artwork by ten Oklahoma women. The show will exhibit at the gallery, located at 201 W. Main in Ada, from March 10 until April 3. A reception will be held on March 12 from 6-9 p.m.
“Everyone is invited to attend and visit with the artists while enjoying their works,” a release from the gallery said.
The release said Oklahoma Lady Artists (OKLA) began in 2007. The group includes members Linda Bayard of Stuart, Freda de odis Flatt and Storm Strickland of Ada, Skip Thompson from Asher, Sandy Ingram and Patsy E. Lane from Konawa, Helen F. Howerston and Carolyn Mock from Bartlesville and Christine Verner and Ryan Pearce Wiley from McAlester.
“The purpose of this organization is the promotion of talented Oklahoma women,” the release said. “They exhibit as a group as well as in individual shows and competitions.”
Media represented will include oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings as well as sculpture.
OKLA will also be showing at the Woolaroc museum and wildlife preserve near Bartlesville in April. June will see work from OKLA members featured at the Forest Heritage Museum in Broken Bow.
