• State Rep. Todd Thomsen of Ada will receive the Distinguished Service Award from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education at 6 p.m. at a ceremony in the lobby of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center at East Central University. The public is invited. Chancellor Glen D. Johnson will present the award.
• Ada Multiple Sclerosis Support Group will have its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Ada Reed Activity Center, 207 W St., Ada; the building is handicap accessible. The speaker will be Dr. James Talley Jr., an upper cervical care doctor. All persons with MS, their care givers, family, friends or anyone interested in knowing more about MS are welcome to attend. • Valley View Regional Hospital will be holding a blood drive from 7 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 6 p.m., at the hospital. Each donor will receive a beanie cap.
• The Singing Rineharts will entertain the residents of Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Allen with gospel and country music at 6:30 p.m.
