• Ada Baptist Village, 3501 Oakridge Blvd., hosts See You at the Pole at 1 p.m. There will be music, fellowship and prayer. Those attending need to take lawn chairs. The event is open to the public.
• Veterans with ties to East Central University over the last 100 years will be honored during a tribute at 3 p.m. on the Crabtree Honor Plaza during ECU’s Centennial celebration. The plaza is between Science Hall and the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center. Maj. Gen. Myles L. Deering, the adjutant general of Oklahoma and a graduate of Ada High School, will speak and a memorial bench will be dedicated honoring ECU veterans and their sacrifices. All veterans are encouraged to attend as well as community members.
• A “Learn to Create a Web Page” workshop will be offered at Pontotoc Technology Center from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The web building class will provide tools and resources to build and host a web site that will highlight a business or organization. • Pontotoc County Fair exhibits and premium checks are ready and needs to be picked up at the OSU Extension Office, 1700 N. Broadway.
• Divorce/Bereavement Support Group meets at 7 p.m. at The Compassion Outreach Center, 1124 Craddock Road. The group offers support for those who have lost a loved one through divorce or death. For more information, phone Tom at 332-6506.
• A dance is held every Wednesday at the Irving Community Center, 704 N. Oak, from 7:30-10 p.m. The cost is $6 per person.
• Valley View Regional Hospital is offering a $10 prostate screening Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to noon which includes a PSA lab test and digital rectal exam. An appointment is necessary. For more information or to register, phone 580-421-1467.

• Chickasaw Nation Nutrition Services will present a More Color, More Flavor, More Life nutrition seminar from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Chickasaw Nation Community Center, 700 N. Mississippi in Ada.
