Coles to celebrate golden wedding anniversary
ASHER — The family of Bob and Loretta Cole are hosting a celebration in honor of the couple's 50th wedding anniversary on July 25, 2009.
The event will be from 2-4 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center located at 110 N. Division, Asher.
Bob and Loretta Roulston Cole were born and raised in the Konawa and Asher areas. Bob graduated from Asher High School and Loretta graduated from Vamoosa High School in 1958.
The couple married July 25, 1959, in the home of the bride's brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Johnnie Hailey, at Seminole.
After a short trip, they made their home in Konawa and later moved to Asher.
Loretta worked 25 years for Doner Hardware. Bob worked in construction with W.J. Ainsworth and later worked in the oil field for Thompson and Son Drilling. Bob now owns and operates a dozer business in Asher.
The couple has one son, Bryon, and three grandchildren, Rachael, Tanner and Bobby Keith Cole.
The couple asks for no gifts at the party.
